The clay-with-flint soil combined with a few limestone parcels of land give the Estate’s Sancerre a pale, brilliant colour, with a fine, intense smell as well as hints of minerals quite typical of the area. In the mouth, it is fresh with good body and a citrus background. The intensity of the Vintage makes it go well with all types of seafood.

Our Chablis wine is wonderfully balanced and very attractive, with a remarkable freshness and minerality that marks it out as classic. Expressive and open with ripe and slightly exotic hints that introduce sappy, plump and nicely mineral flavours. Well balanced wine, ideal as an aperitif. Also excellent with seafood, snails, delicatessen and goat cheeses.

Pouilly Fuissé is the name of the wine region in France where this wine is from. The Pouilly-Fuissé appellation neighbours Saint-Véran in the southern Mâconnais and it’s home to some of Burgundy’s richest, ripest white wines. The multi-award-winning Domaine Trouillet have been established here for over a hundred years. Still family run today, it’s currently managed by fourth-generation winemaker, William. The estate’s vines average between 40 and 50 years old, and along with strict low yields, plus three generations of expertise behind him, he crafts this complex, elegant Chardonnay. Expect full and fresh flavours of citrus, peach, brioche and honey.

ORANGE
Name of wine: Arancino Bianco Macerato Orange Wine Terre Siciliane IGT Organic Country: Italy Region: Sicilia
Fermentation begins spontaneously by the indigenous yeasts present in the skins. The maceration-fermentation, subsequently, lasts for over 20 days at a controlled temperature of 15 degrees. In this phase, the skins slowly give way to the wine color, structure and aromas. A strong and important wine, golden yellow in color with soft coppery reflections. It has hints of candied citrus fruits and herbs typical of the Mediterranean. On the palate the salinity and tannins harmonize with the extreme freshness, giving an elegant and persistent finish.

Six months on skins in concrete tanks, than 4 months in old Frfench barrels. This is intensely floral with lovely exotic grape, tangerine and passionfruit notes. The palate is fresh and tangy, with citrus peel and table grape notes, a hint of mint and lovely fruity terpenic character.

La Serre is one of Bibendum’s oldest brands, with a history stretching back two decades to when it was one of the pioneers of varietal wines and labels from the South of France in the UK market. The wines still represent brilliant value for money and focus on clean, bright fruit flavours that are easy to appreciate and enjoy. A real crowd-pleaser: this smooth, easy-drinking wine has flavours of fresh blackcurrants and blackberries.

Name of wine: Zensa Nero d’Avola Appassimento IGP Terre Siciliane Organic Country: Italy Region: Puglia
Zensa , pronounced ‘senza’, by Italian definition means ‘without’. It’s a reference to their winemaking philosophy and practices, which are entirely organic and focus on as little human interference as possible. The team at Zensa focus on using organic grapes from Trapani and Puglia, crafting wines from indigenous varieties. This wine is made from Nero D’avola grapes in the apassimento style. It has a deep purple-red colour and an intense aroma of blackberries and blueberries. The palate is soft and silky, bursting with spicy flavors of black pepper, dark chocolate, wild berries and vanilla. The tannins are elegant and the finish is long.

Château Du Caillau Malbec Cahors is a red wine hailing from the Cahors region in southwestern France, which has a long history of producing malbec. his wine is made from 100% Malbec and aged 50% in stainless steel tanks and 50% in oak barrels before being bottled. This wine is packed full with flavours of black fruit, cherry and cassis, with a subtle smoky nuance. The tannins are firm and ripe, giving the wine great structure.

Intense ruby-red in colour, it displays aromas of black cherries, prunes, spice and white pepper. The moth feel is full-bodied, velvety and elegant, with soft yet firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. The primitivo grapes are carefully selected from low-yielding vineyards in the Province of Taranto, in southern Puglia.

Spatburgunder is the German term for Pinot noir – the literal translation is Late Burgundian, referring to the late ripening variety, and Burgundian origins. This Pinot Noir offers outstanding balance. Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry and spice on the nose. The palate delivers a lovely, smooth texture and notes of licorice, pomegranate and toast accented by a touch of red tea on the lingering finish.

From St Elilion, a famous appelation in Bordeaux’s Right Bank, known for producing excellent Merlot. This wine is 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. Plum and damsons on the nose. This St Emilion is rich and velvety, with soft, supple tannins and ripe plum, mulberry fruit and liquorice on the palate.

Saint-Meyland is a brilliant and cost-effective alternative to the champagnes found in its neighbouring region. Fermented in bottle for eighteen months, it employs champagne’s method of production, the rich, yeasty toastiness declaring its irresistible credentials. A light golden colour with a persistent stream of small bubbles. Crisp and dry on the palate, with lemon and pear fruit flavours, as well as a buttery richness.

Name of wine: Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut Country: France Region: Champagne
Perrier Jouet was established in 1811 by Pierre-Nicolas-Marie Perrier in the town of Epernay, adding the maiden name of his wife, Ad le Jouet, to name the house. In 1854 Perrier Jouet were the first house to release a dry style of Champagne, which would then be replicated across the region. It was also one of the first Houses to stamp the cork of its wines and add the initials PJ as proof of their authenticity.The Grand Brut has fine bubbles, which release deliciously floral, slightly honeyed fruit aromas. It shows fresh fruit such as white peach on the palate, and has an elegant finish.
